recently been finding myself at a loss for 'what' to do next.. I'm fairly young, bought the house I wanted and have a family .. but what now? I like to have a 'plan' for what to aim for next but I'm not sure what to aim for and its leaving me feeling adrift... any inspiration? what is your life plan?

I think you're very sensible to set yourself targets. But it depends what you want.

Travel? Maybe there are some interesting places you'd like to visit?

Personal development? Learn a new skill, or make a dedicated space for one you enjoy. Improve your fitness or look at eating more healthily. Take up a hobby, do an online degree. Learn a musical instrument, foreign language or special cookery skill such as Indian cooking or icing wedding cakes.

Charity work? what do you care about? homeless people, education, ruined buildings, unwanted pets?

Religion? Devote more of your time to church activities/whatever?

Family history? or research the history of the house you live in, or your town.

Write a book? If you're not a great writer, you could collect jokes or anecdotes about a subject and learn how to self-publish it. Or start collecting memories about your family, especially cute/hilarious things your kids did - they'll love it when they're adults.

Study for a qualification?
Learn new skills?
Aim for a new career?
Start a project that you care about?
Practise a craft / learn a musical instrument ?
Set goals in all areas of life?
Aim for variety and balance

I'm a SAHM with a toddler and my goals are related to what I want to provide for him, personal development and sport. long-term planning for the family (retirement etc).
