What’s this bug? Please not a flea!

Can anyone help? In the last week or so I’ve found about 4 of these bugs in the house. We don’t have any pets but we’ve lived here for six months and the house was empty for about a year before we moved in. They’re small and black and jump as soon as you get near them. Pic should be attached

They're not fleas. Do you have firewood in the house?

Looks like a weevil or something. But deffo not a flea!

definitely not a flea.

Looks like some sort of beetle.

I'd say it's a weevil too. Definitely not a flea. Weevils are adorable, but I am a bit weird like that.

Does it have a proboscis?

Looks like a flea beetle of some sort. Maybe flax or brassica. They migrate from fields late summer, so may be reason you are seeing them now. Think it’s just their jumping habit that gets them their flea title. Fleas are tall and flat, so very thin as you look down on them, rather than round like a beetle.
