Anyone else up?

If so, why?
I'm having an anxiety attack as my boyfriend and I had an argument earlier and it's not resolved. I hate arguing before bed!

My stomach is cramping and I literally feel like my throat is closing up.

I am up. You can try counting your breaths, in and out slowly, to the count of two, then three, then four.
Or distraction. Put something silly on you tube, scroll through twitter etc.
Rows are upsetting. Is he still there ?

SirVixofVixHall · 26/09/2019 23:48

Oh and it might sound a bit hippy but I find rescue remedy helps, if you have any.

threeamclub · 26/09/2019 23:49

@SirVixofVixHall Yes, we live together- he's managed to fall asleep!😒

Thank you, I find it helps most to talk about it to be honest which is why I love forums.

I've heard of that stuff, I'll have to get some next time I'm in town, I'll do anything at this point!

You can get it in pastille form in a little tin too.
If I feel very upset I also get that throat closing feeling. It does go quite quickly though. Are you angry ? Or can you just try and sleep next to him ? The breathing of someone asleep can help you also drift off.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/09/2019 00:08

In resus Yadid ? Are you ok now ?

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/09/2019 00:11

I'm up, I have a giant throbbing blistery coldsore, I've just put tequila on it.
The internet told me vodka but I don't have any.

Lilfabet · 27/09/2019 00:13

I'm waiting for 1am to roll around to give my lo his last feed before bedtime. Also quietly seething at my dp who said he'd stay up and do it but then didn't take his insulin after dinner and fell asleep on the sofa so I couldn't leave him with the baby. AGAIN....

threeamclub · 27/09/2019 00:13

@SirVixofVixHall No, not angry- I'm over it now but he seems to be holding a grudge (not talking to me)Sad

Me. In Istanbul for work and the earthquake was a bit scary so now can’t sleep for anxiety about another coming!

It’s not good that an argument can leave you so anxious x

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/09/2019 00:16

Oh no Yadid, that's awful.
I have brittle asthma so have been in resus a few times.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/09/2019 00:17

Op sulkers are very annoying . Try and sleep and ignore his sulky presence !

Powerplant · 27/09/2019 00:21

It will all be better this time tomorrow fingers crossed for you x

SirVixofVixHall · 27/09/2019 00:26

Brass ! 😮😬An earthquake ?!
I have been up waiting for DH as he was driving home from a meeting quite far away, and I wanted to know he was safely home. He is here now, so I will be off to bed soon, hoping that all is well with
1.boyfriend in a huff

  1. Resus in hospital
3 Earthquake.
Hopingtobeamum · 27/09/2019 00:31

Hey in our early days we used to argue like that, I used to stay awake whilst he would happily sleep (that drove me mad!)
We got through it but I do feel for it you. I found a new app recently called Headspace. It's fab for getting you off to sleep, if that sort of thing helps you. You can download it and use elements of it for free (as I do). I recommend the midnight laundrette, sounds odd but it works for me.
Sleep well x

BrassTactical · 27/09/2019 00:31

Thanks Vix yes a 5.7, whole building swayed (I’m on the very top of a skyscraper hotel). Was. Not. Fun.

Would quite like to be home in boring old Britain now!

OP sulkers are awful, it’s controlling behaviour. Is he always like this?

SirVixofVixHall · 27/09/2019 00:32

Funny, a friend was suggesting that ap earlier for my dd.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/09/2019 00:33

Brass, that sounds terrifying ! I have just googled. I hope any aftershocks are small and you are back in Blighty soon.

kateandme · 27/09/2019 00:47

thre are loads of youtube videos aswell which are good for anxiety?anxiety meditation.some lovely guided ones.ones that take you to beaches or far flung places are my favourite. or some bodys scan ones to get your breath and body more steady.

do you suffer with anxiety or is this new?

SirVixofVixHall · 27/09/2019 10:04

OP hope you slept well and are ok this morning.
Ditto everyone else , Brass were there any aftershocks ?
Yadid are you ok .

BrassTactical · 27/09/2019 10:51

OP has he stopped sulking?

Vix not that we’ve felt which was good. Didn’t really sleep and home tomorrow phew

SirVixofVixHall · 27/09/2019 11:45

I was thinking of you Brass as I drifted off to sleep. I have only ever felt a very minor UK earthquake, and that was unnerving enough !

threeamclub · 27/09/2019 12:23

@BrassTactical Nope, he hasn't spoken to me yet today! Unbelievable Sad he knows he's in the wrong too.
