Work Capability assesment public transport

Hi all,

I have my Univeral Credit work capabilty assesment on Saturday and I don't have anyone to go with me and I have to take the train on my own. I suffer from depression and severe anxiety, I have read a few posts saying that I will get asked how I got to the assesment centre and that if I answer public transport and on my own, it will class as me being fully capable of using public transport and socialising. Which isn't the case at all, I avoid public transport at all costs and I only venture out of the house once a week to go across the road to buy food because I just can't face the outside world.

I am really worried I am going to fail the assesment because I arrived on my own and via train when I simply have no choice but to do so. I don't want to lie at the assesment about how I got there but it feels like I don't have much choice.

Has anyone had any experience of this that could maybe offer some advice?

Thanks.

Is it close enough to get a taxi?

I would contact them and ask if someone can come out to you as your anxiety stops you from being able to use public transport

Are you under a MH team? My care coordinator drives us and joins me at the meeting too

It's to far for a taxi as I wouldn't be able to afford it as the assesment centre is in the next town.

I have read that in order to get a home visit you need a letter from your GP, unfortunatly I don't have time to get that now.

Not currently under a MH team, but will be soon.
