Waterloo Road (spoilers, obviously..!)

I’m binge watching Waterloo Rd on iPlayer. Didn’t see it first time round.

It’s a good watch, but some of it is just too far outside the realms of reality..

How did Tom, Davina, Chlo (short for Chloe?, was never confirmed..), Mica, Donte and Brett end up all being happy enough to live together...

Tom slept with Chlo and Mica’s mum Izzy
Tom slept with Davina
Davina slept with Brett
Chlo slept with Brett
Chlo slept with Donte
Mica slept with Brett

When Izzy died, why did Tom continue to live in Chlo and Mica’s house? They weren’t married, and had only been going out a few weeks. Where was the girl’s dad?
Why did Tom become their ‘step dad’?

I know I am thinking too much in to this.. but really!!

I think Chlo and Mika’s dad was just pretty useless and Tom actually genuinely cared about them.
I seem to recall a scene where Davina referred to Chlo as Chloe, but only once!
I agree you have to suspend belief s bit, but if you think it’s bad now BELIEVE me it gets a hell of a lot worse Grin
I used to love it for a while though, happy viewing!

I’m looking forward to the bit when the school moves to Scotland!

Agree, it’s daft. Some bits are dafter than others though!

Ah I wasn’t sure if you knew about the move to Scotland Grin
I’m afraid that’s where I felt they’d really gone too far, although it stayed on in our house for maybe 2 Scotland series before we found everything so ridiculously laughable that we had to switch off!

I’m getting to that stage!
It’s fun to watch but getting to far fetched..

Also, the students only seem to study french, English and drama.

Hahahaha I think they start studying Maths when Eddie arrives Grin

I really liked it even though it was a bit mad when the students got shipped off to Scotland. We were having huge problems with our 13 year old at the time, and if i’d been offered the chance of doing the same, i’d have been delighted.

I didn’t know it was on iPlayer. I’m definitely ready to watch it again. Just got to watch another 3.5 more series of Mount Pleasant first though.

PippaPug · 27/09/2019 16:10

I thought I was the only one watching this!
I’m only on series 2 but it’s amazingly trash tv!
I’m loving the outfits they wear and the hair styles!

The amount of teachers wearing jeans surprised me, plus calling teachers by their first names in front of the students. And all the hugging.

Yes, maths is now on the curriculum now that Eddie has arrived!
