So I'm 6 weeks and 4 days .woke up this morning and started bleeding.had etopic before and a mc. So I'm absolutely gutted. Decided to take myself to er.as my docs are rubbish. Having a scan tomorrow. Not much hope. Bleeding has slowed down gone more a brownish colour and since leaving the er haven't filled a pad. Not much pain atall. No cramp's a little back ache now.now and again. Anyone else had similar

I would try not to immediately panic. Bleeding can be absolutely normal in pregnancy and most early pregnancy bleeding doesn’t mean anything. Hopefully you’ll get answers when you have your scan.

With my first, I had really heavy bleeding (like running down my legs) at 10 weeks that lasted about 20 minutes and then it continued brown for about a day. No obvious indication what it was that caused it. I never had another episode of bleeding the rest of my pregnancy. My dd is 6 now. With my youngest, I had almost 2 weeks of bleeding and spotting, some of it quite heavy from about 7-9 weeks. Again no obvious cause! I had an easy straightforward pregnancy after that.

Actually the only pregnancy where I didn’t bleed was when I had a mc! It was a missed mc and I waited 6 weeks for bleeding to start naturally before I had to have a d&c.

So it really can mean absolutely nothing is wrong but it’s not very reassuring to hear that until you can see for yourself at the scan. Hope it all goes well. Flowers

I also had 3 episodes of bleeding in my pregnancy, at 5 weeks, 7 and most frightening at 14 weeks. Each time I had a scan and baby was still in there, heart beating beautifully. I know it’s impossible to not panic and assume the worst (I did this every time, I think it was a self preservation thing) but maybe take comfort in the fact that others have been in this place and had a positive outcome Flowers

Sorry should’ve said I had a healthy pregnancy after the bleeding episodes! My DD is 6 months and currently asleep on my lap

I bled throughout my pregnancy and was told by the hospital that many women do and it’s not always a cause for alarm.
Hang in there, I have the 2.5 year old healthy DD next to me to show for my bleedy pregnancy!

I had red bleeding for a day with no pain at 7+2, went to EPU the next day and little bean had a heartbeat. Little bean is soon to be 2 years old and is currently running at my feet trying to pull his nappy off(!) Fingers crossed all is well for you OP. I was told that bleeding at this stage "isn't normal, but is common".
