Making holes in conkers

Easiest way please. I don’t have a drill. I do have various pointy things and hammers

Heat the end of a metal skewer and whilst still hot you can easily pierce the conker.

A corkscrew may make the hole too big.
Try a thin nail and hammer.

Don't forget to soak in vinegar and bake first!

Conker picking was one of my favourite things as a kid....

Corkscrew worked perfectly. We have about 100 so it didn’t matter cracking a few
