informal caterer in Oxford?

Not sure where to put this for best traffic - do feel free to point me to a better place.

Am hoping for suggestions, if anyone knows of a nice but informal caterer who would bring a hot (or heatable) meal for 10-11 adults and 3 kids to a house we're renting in Oxford next week? It's for the night of a family funeral, we'll all be staying in the same place, and it would be nice to have something a bit nicer than a standard takeaway but we really don't need anything fussy or elaborate.

I have googled, but only managed to find very corporate-looking outfits which aren't really what I was thinking at all.

Would be very grateful for suggestions!

How near are you to Summertown?

COOK offer a few different services: might tick your boxes, perhaps?

Sorry for your loss. Hope the funeral goes as well as it can in the circumstances.

Thanks, AutumnnalLeaves. I'll definitely check them. Anyone else from the daytime crowd have any suggestions?

So sorry for your loss.
I have had delicious Lebanese food catered by Al-Shami. www.al-shami.co.uk/
If you want something more traditional Jayne Clark is good

Have a look for any local supper clubs?

We do supper clubs at home and have also done exactly what you are looking for but unfortunately live too far from Oxfordshire.

Hope all goes well.

Thanks, all - will be in touch xx

We used Al-Shami when we lived in Oxford, but it was quite a while ago, so can’t say whether the food is still as good.

OhBuggerandArse I would be very happy to help you out if you haven’t already found someone. I’m a private cook working in the Oxford area and will pm you my details. Best wishes.
