Manics Fans

Anyone here who was a proper Manics fan in the 90s? Been reminiscing about feather boas, babycham and penpals, I always wonder what we grew up to be... and what some people did with their "generation terrorist" tattoos!!

Big manics fan here but was sadly too young for the 90s era. I met them in 2011. I didn't discover them properly until about 2002 and have never really let go since 😂

Me. I am now a project manager/coordinator/administrator in the charity sector. Still massively socialist. Still wearing leopard print. Got me a ruffle fronted shirt last year. 25 year goal finally achieved! Also still a bit mental but much healthier than I was as a teen.

Yes @Weatherwaxed so happy with the leopard print comeback

@markymarkandthefb I was almost too young. Saw them in 1997 and was besotted. But always surrounded by people who were there in 94.

Meeeeee!
I'm a boring mum now but still listen to the Holy Bible on the way to school sometimes!
I've got a box of old belongings where everything is covered in disintegrated pink feather boa and leopard print fake fur...

Pretty much all the first ppl online in the UK were Manics fans. LiveJournal etc...

NannaNoodleman · 25/09/2019 23:10

I saw them in 96/7 and about 4 times since then.

Unfortunately my kids won't let me play the Manics yet.. so we're still on Baby Shark until their tastes mature.

Meeeee, to young to have known then in the 90s but me and DP kind of got together after bonding over them so they have an even closer place in my heart now. They turned me into a lefty literature lover.

We went to Cardiff to see them last year and had one of the best nights out after at a manics club night (with leopard print and eyeliner naturally). Saw them in June- fab

Me. Can't remember how many times I've seen them. Have a professional job (but also had one back in the 90s). Have the occasional crisis of confidence and hit the Style and Beauty Board for ideas, look at, for example, a workwear thread and just think "Wooah, that dress is for grown-ups!" - never going to happen!
