What is your favourite kind of tea?

I drink everything, fruit, herbal, rooibos, green, black, white. I have a top three.

Chocolate orange tea (Sainsbo's did it last year as a Christmas limited edition, I got 8 packs at 40p each and was so sad when I used my last bag. Sad ) Asda do one too but it's not as chocolaty.

Sainsbo's rooibos, cocoa and coconut tea.

Twinings gingerbread green tea.

I drink them all with milk (even though the first and last you're not supposed to have milk in.)

@Mitebiteatnite bedtime brew!! I didn't know it existed. It's in my online basket right now.

happysunr1se · 26/09/2019 21:55

I got given an out of date (2002) wooden box of darjeeling muscatel loose leaf and it's the most fragrant delicious tea, but it's all gone now.

I want to try to find that taste again without spending big bucks per gram from specialist shops, so I've started with waitrose loose leaf darjeeling. But its nowhere near...

I also enjoy assam, oolong and genmaicha.

Recently I tried stone rolled green tea as a latte. It was very tasty!!

Punjana

This Yorkshire biscuit one sounds interesting - is it a tea specially to go with biscuits or a biscuit-flavoured tea?

Mitebiteatnite · 27/09/2019 16:30

MissisBee it genuinely tastes like tea and biscuits. I can't quite explain it, but it's lovely. I'm just a bit sick of it now! There's no sugar or anything nasty added either, just a bit of malt flavouring similar to what goes in ovaltine I'd imagine, although it tastes nothing like ovaltine.

Tea update, tried the Yogi Choco and Choco mint teas and they're nice, just not as chocolaty as I'd expected. I've just opened my parcel from Teapigs and can't wait to try my new teas, (chocolate mint, honeybush and rooibos, rooibos creme caramel and chocolate flake, and I got a free sample of liquorice and peppermint!)

I miss the Hotel Chocolat teas, they did some really nice flavours.

Tea update 2: bedtime brew not as nice as biscuit tea Sad

Is it that one? It sounds nice, although it's a shame it's not as nice as the biscuit tea.

Ceylon for afternoon decadence, Russian caravan for when I need a boot up the arse, and Yorkshire gold for when I can’t be doing with a pot.

MyOtherProfile · 30/09/2019 22:46

My favourites are Taylor's rose lemonade or Taylor's rhubarb but I do like a nice decaf Earl Grey too. Or Lady Grey.

Fuma · 30/09/2019 22:49

Popcorn, chrysanthemum, lady grey, lapsang Souchong, Yorkshire.

What is russian caravan like? It sounds intriguing.

WalkofShame · 30/09/2019 22:54

Buddhas tears or T2 Beauty Queen

Shockers · 30/09/2019 22:59

I used to buy a fair trade rooibos masala from Booths, but they’ve stopped selling it and I can’t remember the make. It had something to do with women’s projects on the box. If anyone has seen it, could you let me know the name so I can search for it online?

SoMuchToBits · 30/09/2019 23:03

PGTips loose leaf tea in a teapot. Can't beat it!

Ginfordinner · 30/09/2019 23:10

What religion forbids tea? I initially thought you might be a Mormon, but you drink gin.

As for tea, I like my tea to taste of tea, and my coffee to taste of coffee. I dislike all flavoured teas except for Earl Grey. My preference for everyday tea is PG Tips.

SapphireSeptember · 30/09/2019 23:41

I am a Mormon, just a rule breaking one. (I just decided I wanted to start drinking tea again and then wanted to try gin which I love. Life is too short.) Grin

It is. And it is not "like a cuddle from a custard tart" Sad

Had genuinely been looking forward to it all day

It's not awful though ... just not a custard tart cuddle ...

IncyWincyGrownUp · 30/09/2019 23:57

Fuma it’s a strong, dark, almost malty tea. It’s bloody lovely, but you wouldn’t want to encounter it alone in a dark alley of an evening as it’ll have stolen your teaspoons and sugar cubes in short order! :o

pollywobble · 01/10/2019 00:01

Do any of you have any recommendations for good tea advent calendars?
