Scammed??

I ordered £70 and my neighbour signed for them and left them in the flat communal hallway and they got taken.

The company I bought them from said I have to claim against Royal Mail and not them. Surely that’s not right?

The company should make the claim to RM but I’m not sure anyone is in the wrong here apart from your neighbour and the opportunistic thief.

You haven't been scammed. Your neighbour got your parcel and was careless with it. I don't think you will be able to get comeback from anyone for this. In future be clear where parcels should be left or make sure you are home for delivery.

If your neighbour signed for it the retailer's/RM obligation was complete and ndn had a duty of care to keep it safe.

This is being scammed, retailer sent the goods, they were signed for but unfortunately stolen. Why didn't your neighbour take it in if they signed for it.

Sorry, isn't being scammed.
