Playmobil fountain

I didn’t know where to post this and am hoping somebody else can remember who the poster is who always makes playmobil scenes.
I’ve bought a playmobil fairy garden with a fountain second hand for my daughter’s birthday. Unfortunately, I’ve discovered that the little tube that connects the pump to the dragon fountain is missing. I’ve tried eBay and the playmobil spares page on their website, but I can’t find a replacement. Does anyone know how I can find this tiny, but crucial part?

Pic of said part that tube attaches to.

It looks like the airline on my fish tank. Go have a look at pets at home.

I purchased a Christmas house from eBay that had some missing parts which were not listed on the spares website, I called and managed to order them, very reasonably priced too

@SoMuchToBits is the Playmoland creator

Thanks @RustyBear !

@Thebookswereherfriends do you know what the set number is for the fairy garden? If so I can probably find the part number you need, then if you phone Playmobil customer services they can see if it's available (some parts don't look as if they're available from the website, but are if you phone them).

There's a couple of Playmobil Facebook groups. People are often asking for spares on there

Kpo58 · 25/09/2019 17:09

Have you tried the Playmobil spare parts website?
www.playmobil.co.uk/content/spareparts_info/SPAREPARTS_INFO.html

Thebookswereherfriends · 25/09/2019 17:12

Thanks very much everyone. I will see if I can find out it’s number and phone the playmobil customer service.
Luckily, it’s not my daughter’s birthday for a few weeks, so I’ve got time to track it down.

It looks very similar to the pump for the shower for the swimming pool set that we have. So might be worth searching for that.

SoMuchToBits · 25/09/2019 17:18

From what you have described, I think the part you need is 30 89 8940 (20cm hose) which if you look it up on the Playmobil spare parts website says it's unavailable. However, if you phone their customer services, they may be able to obtain it for you.

If not, then I've had a look to see what would be a suitable substitute. It seem that in recent years Playmobil haven't been producing the longer lengths of hose any more, but they do make sets of shorter lengths with connectors. If you can't get the original spare part, then I'd say maybe order this spare part (3 x 15cm hose with connectors), connect 2 lengths together and then trim to the length you need.

Or get this one from eBay @Thebookswereherfriends

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Playmobil-3240-Zoo-White-Pipe-Rope-Tube-20cm-30898940/143328293316?hash=item215f0831c4:g:ZhwAAOSwgmVdKcQo

SoMuchToBits · 25/09/2019 17:34

I think that one is just a single hose of a length which would be too short, @Dinosaurate mydaffodils . The other one I linked to would work as it's a set of three shorter hoses with connectors, but the hose form eBay would be the original part and would be the right length.

Assuming I am thinking of the correct set the OP has.

I think it's either this one

or this one

@SoMuchToBits - Brilliant, thank you! It’s that first set, I was struggling to find its number. I will look into your suggestions and see what I can come up with. This is why the internet can be a force for good! Star
Thank you to everyone who has made suggestions.

That pipe looks honestly identical to the fish tank one, you just need to cut it to the right length.
Have a look in your nearest pets at home or aquatic supplier.
www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/standard-airline-tube-18m and see if it looks right in person.

I’ve used it for all sorts of water related projects. It just pushes on to the end.

SoMuchToBits · 25/09/2019 22:21

@Thebookswereherfriends you are very welcome. The hose on eBay will fit your set perfectly.

The hose from the Playmobil spare parts service (if they don't have the exact part) would be ok, but you would have to join 2 sections of hose using the connector and then trim it.

Thebookswereherfriends · 27/09/2019 13:28

@SoMuchToBits The little hose arrived and fits perfectly as you said it would, so thank you for finding that for me.

@Thebookswereherfriends I'm so pleased! I hope your dd enjoys the set. Smile
