Calling techies: How do I adjust aspect ratio in Word to 1:6?

I feel very silly asking this as I’m sure it’s quite simple. I am submitting a manuscript for publication. The journal has stated:

“Please adjust the aspect ratio: width to height ratio of 1:6, with width not to exceed 7 inches.”

I have been working in Word but need to submit in pdf, jpeg, or tif. I cannot figure out how to adjust the aspect. I’d be grateful for any help .

The easiest way would be to go to Page Settings and put in a custom page size of 7" width and a height of 42" and the save as PDF.

Accepting as JPG or Tiff seems bizarre to me as that's an image and if they needed to reflow the text they're screwed.

I think you need someone more familiar with specific journal submission as while I can suggest how to do this technically, I don't understand the logic behind it

Thank you. I tried this in Word but it says I can’t exceed 55.87cm Confused.

How about setting the width as 3" and the height as 18"?

Thank you - will try this. I did tell the journal I was struggling with this and they replied back pasting the aspect ratio again and not how to do it.
