I feel like I've finally become a proper adult at the age of 37.
Bought my rental house last months and having a proper fitted wardrobe installed. And I didn't discuss it with my parents before hand!

I'm 38 and felt like a proper adult just this year when - for the first time ever in my adult life - I remembered to order the oil for the oil tank before we ran out and had no heating or hot water. Congrats on your new house!

I can't believe I've made a big decision without involving my parents. (Currently on holiday for a month) we normally discuss everything. And It's only just dawned on me that i can do what I like! Is everyone so slow to catch on?!
