Apple Watch

My Garmin has just died on me and am thinking about buying a 2nd hand Apple Watch.
Not bothered about getting the latest series and
Certainly can't afford £400+

So does it matter what series I buy? Will a 2 or 3 do the basics I need? Heart rate, steps, pick up messages, notifications? It doesn't need to be all singing and dancing.
Also are they one size fits all?

Apple just dropped the price of the series 3 to £199 brand new so there's some good offers on those right now.

Oh sorry it will definitely do what you want it for! I did those things with a series 1 until it died. (Considering a series 3 now due to the price drop!)

There's a 38mm or 42mm option. I have small wrists so would to for the smaller one...
