It sounds a bit ridiculous but it really has had an effect on how I feel about the news! Now (after getting a bit obsessed and playing it with the kids) I find I know exactly where any country is when it is mentioned. I thought I wasn't too bad at geography before but I am surprised at how many blind spots I had (bizarrely had NO idea where the Philippines actually were!) and getting this sorted out in my head has really helped. I thoroughly recommend it - is a bit addictive though!
