My DD agreed for my youngest DGS (15) to go to Iceland with the school in February next year.Usual stuff to see Glasiers/Northern lights etc.
She has paid the £300 deposit and all was well until they returned to School after the Summer break when 5 boys said they cannot afford to go.
The school recalculated the cost (including 4 teachers) and the cost increased by another £420 each to cover the cost of the boys not going but still enabling the teachers to go.
The school has now cancelled the trip as they say it is too expensive and we agreed, they agreed to refund all the deposits 2 weeks ago and up to now they have not.
Since yesterday my DD has rung the finance office at the school and left message with her phone no. so she can find out when the monies will be repaid but they are not returning calls, where do we go to next she certainly cannot afford to wait too long as she wants to arrange another break for him over Christmas with his friend and their family and £300 is a lot to make up when you are a single working mum.
