HRT & Headaches

I have been on the Evorel Sequi patches for 5 weeks and I keep getting headaches.

Do I stop the patches or ask for the gel instead?

The headaches are getting worse and lasting 2/3 days with 1-2 days without then I get a headache again.

Painkillers are only lessening the pain not getting rid of it anymore.

Do I just keep going with the patches in the hope my body gets used to the HRT and the headaches finally go away?

I was on HRT for about two years and regularly had migraines. They ceased when I stopped the HRT. I felt better generally too, couldn't really understand why I had gone on it in the first place; I think it was because I had a high profile job at the time and commuted by train, I used to see women having hot flushes on the train and feeling awful, so didn't want to be like that.

Best thing I did was give it up. Yes, flushes returned but they weren't that bad, nothing I couldn't cope with.

Give it up if it's giving you headaches. Headaches are no joke.

The night sweats and my foul mood is what prompted me to get the HRT, not sure I can go back to being like that.
