Friend had a heart attack few months ago was understandly off work for a few months. GP advised phased return over few weeks. Works 3 days a week wanted to do couple half days then build up gradually. She still isnt 100% and suffering from anxiety after the heart attack. Plus she has hosp appts and counselling sessions to attend. Her work werent happy and wanted her to do 2 days then following week 3 days.

She got very stressed about it all and worried about works attitude with their lack of understanding how she was feeling. She feels they are being funny with her.

So last week she was told off for leaving a filing cabinet open but her manager had taken a folder out of it and was using it so she purposely left it open. 2 days later she receiced a letter at home marked Letter of Concern. Detailing the cabinet incident and several other things which she says a majority were incorrect.

She is now a bag of nerves and very upset and feels they are definitely trying to get rid of her. She was so ill with it all she went to the Drs today who automatically signed her off for 2 weeks.

She needs advice. The letter was fullof inconsistencies she said and ferls if she doesnt reply to it they will assume she's taken it onboard.

Any advice I can passon to her???

Is she in a union? If not, try ACAS?

No union as small family firm
