Anyone waiting until the NY to TTC..

And need distracting until then?

We are waiting until January due to maternity entitlement, but I'm surrounded by people who are pregnant and it's makes me a little baby mad

Anyone else in a similar position?

Yes I am! DS is one and we want to wait til January.

rollon2020 · 23/09/2019 17:48

👋 @NeverGotMyPuppy
My Dd is 20 months now and I just see how far away from a newborn she is and it makes me so broody! I wanted an 18 month gap but it's not been possible with work

Its daft because I have no idea how we will cope with 2!!!

Are u a teacher by any chance?

NannaNoodleman · 23/09/2019 17:56

I'd love to get pregnant with a third in January. DH isn't convinced though!

bookishtartlet · 23/09/2019 17:57

Me! I'm hoping to maximise the summer holidays then start mat leave the first day back at work. My ds will be starting primary school too so I'll get some one to one time with the wee one!

NeverGotMyPuppy · 23/09/2019 17:59

@bookishtartlet that's exactly what I managed to do with DS. I then went back on the last day of term so got paid over the summer. Cant see me being so lucky a 2nd time tho!

rollon2020 · 23/09/2019 18:30

Lecturer so education yeah!

How is everyone doing? I'm due on in the next few days and can't help but feel a bit grumpy about it! 😩

I'm also waiting until then--where we live now isn't suitable so we're trying to get the ball rolling on a purchase before ttc.

NeverGotMyPuppy · 04/10/2019 19:49

Hey guys!

So annoyingly I have done some period maths and I really cant try to get pregnant in December- I will have to wait til January.

I WANT A BABY!

Leeds2 · 04/10/2019 20:33

My friend waited until January to TTC her first, because she wanted DC to be born in September and hence one of the oldest in the school year. Yes, you've guessed it - her DC was born at the end of August! The next one had a November birthdate!

NeverGotMyPuppy · 04/10/2019 21:10

Well, yes, that's always a possibility.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 04/10/2019 21:15

We get married in May so I'll have to wait until then really but I am incredibly broody today and May feels a lifetime away. Although it's sensible.

rollon2020 · 04/10/2019 21:57

@AnchorDownDeepBreath it's frustrating isn't it

The way my holiday and mat leave is calculated it makes so much sense but I know I'll secretly be a bit gutted when my period starts

Got a few friends expecting their second and although I hated being pregnant I can't help being slightly jealous 🙈

@rollon2020 we are in the exact same boat. Our first is 20 months and I would have loved a smaller gap. We are starting to try again soon, and have been holding off due to me changing job and needing to have some time in role before I hopefully get pregnant.

rollon2020 · 04/10/2019 22:19

@Needallthesleep DD is exactly the same age!
I changed jobs for better part time hours. She would make such a good big sister

We had issue TTC first time round so I know it might not happen straight away, but Sod's law if we tried now it would happen before I'm entitled to the extra support

Ahh @rollon2020 good luck when you come to try. It’s nice to know someone is in the same place as us. We were the same that it took a little while the first time. Are you planning on using all the ovulation trackers to plan?

rollon2020 · 05/10/2019 20:46

🍀 You too!

Possibly, i used cheapie opks the first time round. My cycles pretty regular now so 🤞
How about you?

How is everyone? So excited to start trying next month!
