Packed lunch ideas using these ingredients

I have wholemeal tortilla wraps, peppers, cucumber, lettuce and hummus.

What packed lunch can I make with these?

Tia.

Erm, hate to state the obvious, but hummus salad wraps?

NoSquirrels · 23/09/2019 17:40

Um.

If that’s it, then hummus wraps - surely?

Feel like it’s a trick question!

Soola · 23/09/2019 17:42

Take a tortilla wrap and fill it with, hummus. Add lettuce leaves. Slice the peppers and cucumber and add to the wrap.

Voila!

Never made (or eaten) those before. Always thought you need pitta bread for hummus salad wraps.

So do you just spread hummus on the wrap, layer the vegetables and roll it up?

If you have anything else in then you can make a pasta or rice salad bowl with the veg, and top with hummus and dry-fried tortilla chips. Or add cheese to the peppers and dry-fry as a quesadilla, and use the hummus to dip.

But if you literally have hummus, salad and wraps then you know what to do!

Always thought you need pitta bread for hummus salad wraps.

Clue’s in the name, though! It would be a hummus salad pitta otherwise.

SarahTancredi · 23/09/2019 17:44

Roast the.peppers first!!

Yum

Runkle · 23/09/2019 17:46

Crikey...

italianfiat · 23/09/2019 17:46

Surely not? If that's all you have then literally all you can make is a wrap with those things on it? Or those things and a wrap separately!

Is this a trick question?

NotGoingToFall · 23/09/2019 17:53

If this isn't trick question and you're genuinely looking ideas 😂 apart from wraps, you could make pizza out of tortilla wrap, or oven-baked tortilla chips. But yeah, wrap is your easiest bet 🤔

inwood · 23/09/2019 18:21

Eh? Why would a hummus salad wrap be in a pitta? You have what you have, wraps it up, job done.

Ironfloor269 · 23/09/2019 19:06

Thanks.

No, not a trick question. Genuine question that arose out of ignorance. 😊

Langoustines?

Or perhaps a mushroom omelette?

Bon appetite!

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 23/09/2019 19:11

Grin pitta is ok but then it wouldn't be a wrap!

FreshwaterBay · 23/09/2019 19:13

Sorry, I should not have just rushed and posted. I see you have neither langoustine, nor eggs and nor mushrooms.

I have no idea. But hopefully another poster may be along to help you soon.

BarbaraofSeville · 23/09/2019 19:19

What were you planning of doing with those things when you bought them?

It feels like this is the most straightforward episode of ready steady cook ever, but there's some secret bonus round where you're not allowed to make a hummus and salad wrap and you have to think of something else.

Ironfloor269 · 24/09/2019 09:41

@BarbaraofSeville - I bought them all for separate things. So, wraps for quesadillas, hummus and vegetables to eat as a snack and lettuce for a ham sandwich for DC's packed lunch. DH is vegetarian so doesn't eat quesadilla (made from chili con carne) or ham sandwiches.
