Thomas Cook Atol Question

We booked a package with Thomas Cook and were due to fly tomorrow. We have a single contract atol certificate stating that if the provider ceases trading we will either take and complete our trip or receive a full refund. Our flights are / were with Easyjet so in the unlikely event these are still valid, can we still claim the cost of the holiday back bearing in mind there will be no hotel or transfers at the other end? Or will atol say that we could have used the flights and refuse to reimburse?

The only way you'll get a correct answer is to contact atol.
I think the website is Thomascook.caa.com or .co.uk

Thank you Smile I got through to the caa who confirmed we should be ok for a refund.

I feel desperately sorry for those who lost their jobs today though. Hopefully other operators will need to expand to plug the gap in the market and they will get other posts soon

Well I was having a nosy at jobs last night, and tui and jet2 are both recruiting at the moment. Hopefully, they will find jobs with those companies easily. You'd hope that they would get preference as they already have experience.
