Is TUI Thomas cook?

We've booked a flight in two weeks time with TUI and my partners thinks we will be fine because it's a separate company from Thomas cook, however I thought they were the same company?

Can't seem to find any answers online so any help would be greatly appreciated!

No they're different companies. Tui used to be called something else I can't remember what..maybe Thompson's?

PawPawNoodle · 23/09/2019 01:43

Honestly a very quick google would have told you that Tui used to be Thomson.

Tui and first choice are one in the same neither is affiliated with Thomas cook

There was a lady on the news just now who has booked a TUI holiday but can't get there because the flights were with Thomas Cook.
Check who the flight provider is.

WeDidNotChangeTheLocks · 23/09/2019 09:34

@DancingDelli check the flight provider. They arent the same company but may have used their planes. Hope it's all ok!

Aposterhasnoname · 23/09/2019 09:37

Even if the flight provider is Thomas cook, that’s Tui’s problem not yours (as long as it’s a package holiday you’ve booked)

Completely separate company. They do occasionally use Thomas Cook flights, would check booking to see what airline its with but would be very surprised if there's an issue.
