Natural remedies are the “P” fruits - plums, pears, prunes, peaches. Plus plenty of water and tummy massage. However my 16 month old developed terrible constipation when I started weaning at 6 months and nothing “natural” really helped. After a couple of GP visits (they didn’t take me seriously the first time), she was prescribed Movicol - a very mild laxative. It’s chocolate flavoured and given mixed with water so added benefit of getting more water into her as well. It’s made a massive difference and she now only needs a dose every two to three days. Good luck!

Thanks, Gp given me Lactalose but it doesn't seem to be working

A whole pouch of Ella’s prune purée. Some pure apple juice (fresh, not from concentrate). Lots and lots of water.

You can make baby biscuits known as ‘dam busters’ by chopping and stewing down dried apricots/figs/prunes, blending to a pulp, mixing with enough oats to make a dough then baking in a low oven until they're sort of rubbery.

I don’t know if those things would help if lactulose doesn’t but worth a try.

Pears or prunes and a session in the jumperoo always worked for us! X
