Or dinner, if you're that way inclined Grin
Shamelessly looking for ideas - we normally have some form of spaghetti bolognese on a Sunday evening but just not feeling it today!

We're having leftovers. I'd normally do chicken roast but I've got loads of leftovers to eat first.

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 22/09/2019 11:04

Ive woken up feeling rough, dispite going to bed early last night, seems so unfair! I had planned to do either a lamb curry or chilli, but both feel like too much effort.

Thankfully, amongst the order that arrived yesterday, I'd bought a whole chicken, so will do an basic easy roast.

MotherOfSoupDragons · 22/09/2019 11:05

Iranian vegetable stew (sent in error by food kit people). With sausages.

Wearenotyourkind · 22/09/2019 11:07

Toad in the hole!

cheesenpickle · 22/09/2019 11:13

Slow cooker lamb tagine with couscous. I managed to over cook my beef last week in slow cooker so I'm hoping this will be more successful.

TDMN · 22/09/2019 11:24

These all sound great, really need to get more use out of the slow cooker that mostly just takes up space in our tiny kitchen too Smile
Hope you're feeling better soon @DisgruntledGuineaPig!

Chicken Kiev, garlic bread and beans for lunch
Beef casserole and rice for dinner and apple crumble from the neighbour's apples.

CakeNinja · 22/09/2019 11:27

It’s a Sunday so a roast or some kind of variant of roasted meat, potatoes and some veg sides.
Dp is a die hard traditional Sunday roast man and has been for 17 years - he’d die thinking people ate spaghetti bolognaise on a Sunday Grin
Me on the other hand - I could eat anything on any day!!

Bezalelle · 22/09/2019 11:29

I'm on my own tonight so I'm thinking of ordering a Chinese!

xSharonNeedlesx · 22/09/2019 11:30

I was going to make a chilli or a beef stew but I need to clean my slow cooker first and cba. I also have a huge joint of beef but again, can’t be bothered to cook it. We’re having spaghetti and meatballs (with a jar of sauce for ultimate laziness!)

susiella · 22/09/2019 11:30

roast pork, apple sauce, sage & onion stuffing, roast parsnips, leeks in cheese sauce, carrots, sweetcorn, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes & gravy.
I can't wait!!

TipseyTorvey · 22/09/2019 11:30

We're having lasagne for Sunday lunch but with Yorkshire puds because that's the kid's law for Sunday no matter what is served. Then beans on toast for tea for kids and foraged kitchen fodder for the adults for dinner.

iklboo · 22/09/2019 11:31

Spanish chicken in the slow cooker (chicken, peppers, onion, garlic, paprika, chorizo, passata). Probably with rosemary roasted baby new potatoes.

Bread in the bread maker to mop up the sauce.

Peach roulade for afterwards.

DameXanaduBramble · 22/09/2019 11:31

Tandoori lamb chops (which I’ve marinaded overnight) and baked celeriac.

myrtleWilson · 22/09/2019 11:34

Torta for us as we catch up on Strictly from last night!

Bluesheep8 · 22/09/2019 11:42

Pan fried salmon fillets with a garlic, lemon and butter sauce, baked new potatoes, asparagus, tenderstem broccoli and peas.

AuntieMarys · 22/09/2019 11:44

Mozzarella and tomato tarts with green beans and asparagus.

I never cook a traditional Sunday dinner

Steviestamborine · 22/09/2019 11:44

Spicy chicken, salad, garlic bread and samosas. Bit of a mish mash but delicious.

TDMN · 22/09/2019 11:45

@Bluewavescrashing
I am drooling at that lunch Grin
@CakeNinja
We are complete heathens in that respect - I think we only have a roast about twice a year, your DP would be horrified Grin Only just keep our stereotypical British person credentials due to the buckets of tea we drink!
@Bezalelle
Solo takeaway is the best! No judging eyes when you order insane amounts of egg fried rice to graze on all evening (might be just me)

Very impressed with the preparation thats going into these meals... i think this is half the problem, our rented kitchen is so dire i've lost a lot of my love for cooking as its just so awkward to get anything started!

We were given some bear meat so dinner will be bear mince pasta and vegetables

MaryBerriesNiece · 22/09/2019 11:52

Steak pie (with links in), buttery mash, carrots and peas with home made apple and rhubarb tart with custard for dessert.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 22/09/2019 11:53

First roast of the season here, so a huge piece of beef and all the trimmings, really can't wait.

AwdBovril · 22/09/2019 11:53

Lamb stew. The recipe is similar to that if Cawl, but I add butter beans, & we sometimes have dumplings in it too. It's a lot thicker than Cawl though, because of the beans. And lower fat, too, because I pressure cook the meat, allow it to cool overnight, remove the fat & then add everything else for the stew.

Maybe stewed apples & custard for pudding. If we fancy anything after the stew!

midsomermurderess · 22/09/2019 12:21

Beef Strgonoff.

BarbedBloom · 22/09/2019 12:23

Roast dinner and I have the crumble in the oven now so it can just be reheated later. DH won't be home from work till 5pm so aiming to have it ready for then. Can't wait
