What's happening in your house today

I'm on the couch MNetting with a cuppa. DD and DH are still snoozing. Cats are pottering around.

We're moving house next week so we're spending the afternoon packing urgh. This morning we'll go for a walk in the forest and then home for breakfast of bacon and eggs. Dinner will be pork belly done in the air fryer and fried mozzarella sticks.

I'm off to a local holiday resort with a friend for the day for spa treatments, sauna and afternoon tea, can't wait!

Just got up. DP is making eggs. I am trying to convince him to go jogging. Not sure what we will do later. Maybe mooch into town or go to the cinema.

Sat drinking tea, watching the rugby and summoning the energy to pack the car and drive dd back to uni.

Then we might stop somewhere for food on the way home, arrive home and start batch cooking for next weeks dinners.

I'd quite like to just pull my fleece blanket on and nap through the day instead.

Planning to plant 100 trees at the local park! Applying for a grant to buy trees. Local council is very supportive, and I need to get volunteers to plant them and agree to help with maintenance.

Busy day yesterday, so nice chilled morming with DC1 on kindle whilst DH and I watch the rugby. Need to get a move on shortly as meeting friend for coffee and cake. Then back to get the garden winter ready in between the rain, go for a family swim then back for dinner..love Sunday's!

It's really hot already that we've decided against moving until we go out for dinner this evening.

Not much! DP is away until tonight so DD1, DD2 and I all lounged in bed til 8.30 watching TV then made smoothies. Now they are watching more TV (!) While I drink a peaceful cup of tea. DD1 will do homework later, we might get out for a walk. New washer/dryer being delivered this afternoon, and I will bath the kids. That's about as exciting as it's getting today!

I'm on my first day off after 8 days on (and back in at 6am tomorrow) so feel justified in still being in bed. TreacherousCat is asleep beside me.
DDogs are mooching about waiting for me to get up and feed / walk them.
DH has just left for church and DS is playing guitar for the last hour
DS has work 12-4 so I think today will be spent pottering, with a short detour to the pub. I haven't seen the Downton Abbey film yet but the weathers fairly grim and I'm not sure I am be bothered to schlep into town

Both teens at their weekend jobs. DH left very early to oversee a filming job. I am still in my dressing gown, drinking coffee and cuddling my friend's miniature daschund who I'm dog sitting today. So very happy and peaceful here. If the rain stops, I might take her Ladyship out for a walk once I've had a shower.

I do need to tackle a pile of laundry later though, and will make sausage cassoulet for supper.

DS was at a friends party last night so stayed over so we will be picking him up at some point.

Sorting out conservatory, DH is carpet cleaning two big rugs, food shopping and watching a film this evening. DS GF will probably be here for dinner. I may game for a couple of hours if DH has some prep for the working week.

I've just got back from the shops. My Dsis, bil and newborn are coming for lunch today. Dh is upstairs putting washing away and both DS on their tablets watching YouTube. I'm in east Anglia and not had any rain yet. Think it's due around 12.
This evening will be ironing uniforms making sure bags are packed and peaky blinders.

For me it was up at 6.30 with baby and then 3 year old up at 7.30. Husband had a lie in and then took 3 year old to tennis while I stayed at home with the baby. Had a bath while baby napped. We’re going to potter and have a lazy afternoon and have a roast later.

DS has just finished rugby. DD1 is going with a group of friends to London Dungeon and then to the rainforest cafe for her birthday 'party'. She's apparently too grown up and cool for us all to tag along, but DH is allowed to follow with a friend, and to pay of course. DS has a party at 3pm, 3hrs long until 6?!. DD2s marine tank is finally ready for something loving to go in. She's hinting at a trip to the aquatic shop. I've discovered getting her this tank is a horrifically expensive mistake. The entire house looks like a shit hole and needs an extensive clean and there are visitors coming in the morning tomorrow.

Not much. Husband is at work, so have just finished making a crumble for dinner later and am prepping the roast. Then this afternoon probably catching up on podcasts and trying to write a bit as am way behind on the book

DH is away surfing.

DS played at home for a bit, he had breakfast in bed whilst I read to him, then he did his school reading.

We're now at soft play. Thank fuck there's a 3 hour time limit today.

Later we'll cycle to the shop to buy popcorn, then watch a film.

Cats are fast asleep now, I won't be long behind them for a nice nap.

Took kids out on their bikes for a bit this morning . Then gymnastics for dd1. Raining this afternoon so not done a lot . Watching tv and kids been playing / watching tablets .

I've had a productive day. I batch cooked 14 portions of beef casserole, hoovered and mopped floors after DCs decided to make a mud factory 🙄 scrubbed DCs clean, played card games with them and supervised crafting. DS spent two hours chopping up Smyths catalogue and making an extensive birthday wish list. It kept him happy though 😁

Today was too manic for a Sunday and I ended up a bit grumpy as a result. Shopping, cooking soup for next week's lunches for me, brunch for everyone, baking sweet treats for DS packed lunches, preparing casserole for adult dinner, cooking kid's tea, massive sort out and clean of both DCs' bedrooms, putting away summer clothes, getting out winter clothes, putting stuff on facebook to sell.
....as I said too much! Now in a hot bath. With wine. While DP finishes off the dinner!
