As a complete newbie to it, and therefore absolutely no idea of what or how to do it, could any one point me in the direction of either a website/blog or video tutorials to read/watch? The more 'step by step' the better 😁

I know there's probably numerous threads on here about it, but I get so confused reading them & would really like to try to make something in the run up to xmas

I posted something like this a few weeks ago and got a recommendation of a website and Facebook group. Team Profit. I haven't had chance to get started yet but the Facebook group in particular looks very helpful.

Yep, the website and Facebook group Team Profit - particularly Team profit newbies.

Chocolateteabag · 21/09/2019 19:54

Yep - Team Profit - free site with clear guide step by step to get you started. You can then pay a subscription to either Oddsmonkey or Profit Accumulator (c £15-17 per month) to get access to tools, calculators, bigger forums and tutorials

I would get a separate bank account set up - Tesco basic current account is good, plus get pictures of your passport and other ID as you will get this requested from the bookies as you join them (its for anti money laundering)

Take your time and don't try to do anything in a rush or when you have distractions around you. It is a good way to make money if you are strict with yourself and don't allow yourself to gamble.

if you join the team profit facebook group - change your facebook name to not be your actual name.

Helga55 · 21/09/2019 20:57

Thanks everyone, I'll head over there now 👍

Why change your fb name to join?

StrumpersPlunkett · 21/09/2019 21:03

I so should read the thread title properly, I was confused as to why there was a special facebook group dedicated to matching bedding :-)

issano · 21/09/2019 22:05

Yup team profit is your friend Smile

Chocolateteabag · 22/09/2019 07:19

@DaisyDreaming - it's because the bookies don't want people taking advantage of the offers they give out - they will "gub" you - which is match betting speak for saying you will get no more offers or promotions just regular bets
Offers and promotions are how Match bettors make money - so it stops you in your tracks

Having your name all over even a private fb group is just one way they can find out its what you are doing (because anyone can sign up to the "private" group)
