I'm in hospital hooked up to morphine drip following emergency surgery.

I'm in loads of pain and I want to go home 😭

What's your plans today/this weekend?

To top it all off it's absolutely scorching outside and I'm missing it being stuck here!

Aw no, I’m sorry to hear you’re poorly. Hope you’ll be better soon.

I am being very lazy, watching TV, surfing on mumsnet and eating cocktail sausages.

What I should be doing is tidying the garden and packing my case as I’m off on holiday tomorrow morning.

RonMexico · 21/09/2019 14:09

I'm sat drinking coffee after scrubbing the bathroom and ruthlessly sorting the kids toys downstairs. Next job is to move the dresser and table in the kitchen. It's also lovely outside, but I'm now on a mission to tidy!
Tomorrow is my birthday, but weather looks set to be shite, so may be a day at home!
I do hope your recovery is swift. Thanks

Flowers OP.
I’m helping my daughter with an exam practice paper ready for an entrance exam next month. It’s not going well. She’s flounced off in a huff and I just want to throw the bloody book out of the window. It’s school set homework unfortunately though so I can’t. Grin

That sounds miserableFlowers
I'm eating bread and marmite with cheese and watching Ashes to Ashes while the baby eats the bits of omelette she hasn't thrown on the floor. Taking the dog a long walk after lunch.

Ilikewinter · 21/09/2019 14:23

Hope you feel better soon...im sat on the terrace, browsing mumsnet and trip advisor and moving my chair round chasing the sun!

Doormat247 · 21/09/2019 14:27

I'm jealous of your morphine drip! I'm laid on the sofa mainly screaming in agony trying to avoid another trip to a&e.

We had a lovely day planned with lots of trips around the heritage sites open this weekend as part of the annual heritage open days scheme. I've sent my DP out to enjoy one of the things we'd booked and he's been gone a couple of hours - I had a bad turn just after he left and can't wait for him to come home.
To make it worse I'm not allowed any painkillers as I'm pregnant.
I can't even reach the remote to turn the tv on to give me something to do.

Bloodybridget · 21/09/2019 14:28

Ah poor you, Mamasma, you have all my sympathy. Hope you do get out soon.

I'm sitting on a bench in a park while DP looks round a historic house, I'm too tired to do anything else.

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 21/09/2019 14:31

Hope you feel better soon.

DD and I are using those Disney face masks before we go to a birthday meal.

What are you doing?
ISmellBabies · 21/09/2019 14:32

Poor you, except the morphine and the lie down, that sounds fab. Get well soon.
I'm sat on the sofa with baby dd on me feeding /sleeping. The telly has somehow got onto the scottish parliament in session (do they sit on a Saturday or is it not even live?) anyway, I can't reach the remote. Urgh, also the dog is sat next to me and has just farted and it stinks.

OkayGo · 21/09/2019 14:32

I’ve got my 2 year old snoring away on me and this afternoon we’re going to ‘mystery shop’ in a restaurant - free food!

Byebyebyebyebye · 21/09/2019 14:33

Have a good chill out on the sofa!! 😊 hope you are better soon OP! 💐

Snog · 21/09/2019 14:35

Thanks Mamasma
I am mumsnetting on the sofa with the cat on my knee after having been for a lovely walk in the Botanical gardens with DH. I'm intending to laze around for the rest of the day and will be cooking a pork and leek stroganoff (new recipe) for supper later.
Hope you feel better soon

Pinkarsedfly · 21/09/2019 14:35

I’m lying on the couch in the conservatory, browsing booking.com and dreaming of a half-term holiday.

happypotamus · 21/09/2019 16:19

Today I came home from my night shift, went to bed for a couple of hours, washed my hair, was stuck by a sudden realisation that led to a bit of an emotional breakdown. I am now cleaning my house up whilst listening to loud music that I hope will drown out thoughts of emotional breakdown. Which is fun. At some point this evening my DC will return from my in-laws, so DC1's homework, dinner, bath, bed for them, make dinner for DH and I.
Hope you are feeling better and get out of hospital soon.
Tomorrow my sister is visiting us. We don't have any food in the house except for tonight's dinner, supermarkets are a drive away and I can't drive and DH is going out for most of the day. I have to think of something we can do in the rain and work out how to feed us. And continue to hide from impending doom and avoid further emotional breakdown until Monday.
