If you could do anything today?

I had a shitty day yesterday, and it's sent me brooding and spiralling a bit.

So I have two choices

  1. Mope in the house and bing telly with comfort food
  2. Go on an adventure

What would you do? What would your day look like? Assuming money not really an object, I'm in London, just me to worry about.

I prescribe an ADVENTURE!

confusedandemployed · 21/09/2019 10:36

Adventure. Every time.

Lardlizard · 21/09/2019 10:36

Go seaside

SunnivaGunne · 21/09/2019 10:36

Anything? Go on holiday! Read a good book. Meet a friend for lunch. Soak in a bubble bath. Long walk with the dog then all of the previous.

DontLettuceBrexitLettuceRemain · 21/09/2019 10:41

Don't have a dog, a bath or any friends around (whole other issue!).

What adventure shall I go on? I though about the beach but no car, so it'll be 2hours of trains and busses just to get there

How about visiting a museum or gallery that you haven't been to before/for a while? I recently went to the Design Museum for the first time in it's new home and thought it was fantastic - the permanent exhibition is free and there's something for everyone (I was with my elderly parents and DD(12))

DontLettuceBrexitLettuceRemain · 21/09/2019 10:49

That's a good idea Curly thanks.

What does everyone else's perfect day look like?

buy a new book or magazine and go to new gardens - you can explore, relax and read, have lunch and there is an amazing new installation of beautiful light up glass sculptures after dark- I am desperate to see it!

FauxFox · 21/09/2019 10:54

Not new gardens Kew obviously!

bonitakitlee · 21/09/2019 11:03

I would go to Holland Park Kyoto Japanese gardens. Would enjoy being in London today, perfect weather for wandering.

On my own I love walking into town, mooching the charity shops then lunch and a glass of wine with my kindle in one of the nice cafes here.

If I'm with DH we might go to the local stately home park for a nice walk round in the fresh air, feeding squirrels.

Adventure.

My ideal day today would involve a massage, a lovely walk and an afternoon in a beer garden.
