Do you enjoy lying in bed and listen to the household morning noises?

DH brought me tea and toast in bed so I'm listening to 6yo DD and him chattering away in the kitchen with the radio on in the background. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. When I was an older teen, I used to lie in bed and listen to my DF cleaning the kitchen and singing along to The Bealtes. Same feeling. So lovely. Do you do this?

Not any more. I want to get up as I don't like wasting the day. A sign of getting older Grin

I know what you mean and did used to love that as a teen. Some radio voices take me straight back to my grandparents’ home.
But now I just get annoyed and get up!

Yes! Our bedroom is above the kitchen and on weekends Dh takes the DC down and I am upstairs getting dressed and I can hear them all chatting. Occasionally it's stressful as I hear arguing and telling off Hmm but mostly I can hear conversations or silliness. Warm fuzzy feelings for sure.

In theory yes. In reality as a teen it was someone telling me to get out of bed before half the day was gone and now it’s small children arguing.

It’s one of those things that my head thinks would be just lovely but then I’m confronted with reality Grin
