Camelot yet again picked the wrong numbers. I might have to ask for a refund 🤦‍♀️

Oh no!! Sorry to hear that HotChoc. It was definitely your turn this week.

WishITookLifeSeriously · 20/09/2019 22:19

Same here. I'm convinced I'm going to win every time I out the numbers on!

HotChocolateLover · 20/09/2019 22:25

Thanks @BlingOn I’m slowly coming to terms with it. Fortunately no-one else won so i’ll have a good think about what the numbers are and buy the winning ticket for next week. Camelot will hopefully be open on Monday so I can speak to customer services so they are aware of my predicament.

I have been experiencing a similar issue to you OP for two decades. Perhaps it's time to write a strongly worded complaint.

Eastie77 · 20/09/2019 22:33

Have you called to log this iwith 101?

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 20/09/2019 22:34

No one else won???

Bloody hell, i was sure it was my turn...still there is aways next week

BlingOn · 20/09/2019 22:34

Don't leave it til Monday. Get on to them first thing tomorrow so they've got plenty of time to fix the, clearly faulty, ball picking machine thingy.
How much should you have won tonight?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/09/2019 22:35

I feel your pain. I have some Premium Bonds. The very very occasional £25 is all very well, but I bought them for the million pound top prize and it's not arrived. What's the delay?

MamaGothel · 20/09/2019 22:39

Think about the 112 people who were only 1 number away. I don't think I would cope with that sort of excitement followed by crushing disappointment.

HotChocolateLover · 20/09/2019 22:47

@Eastie77 Great idea, they’d be really interested. I think it’s my duty as a responsible Mumsnetter.

HotChocolateLover · 20/09/2019 22:47

@BlingOn £167 million 🤦‍♀️

OP posts:
BR540 · 20/09/2019 22:48

I feel more sympathy for the people that get 4 numbers and win £103 or whatever it is. My heart couldn’t cope.

BelindasGleeTeam · 20/09/2019 22:48

Damnit, failed again 😭

BlingOn · 20/09/2019 23:09

£167 million!!! Shock Might get myself a ticket for the next draw (not with the right numbers on obviously as it's still your turn) .

SunshineAngel · 20/09/2019 23:11

Same!
My DH and I always sort of expect to win every draw we enter.. but never do!

sundaylast · 20/09/2019 23:14

Today I had to go to a lottery winners gigantic mansion/castle, going over their private bridge (with gatehouse) and passing their horses and fountains... I called my husband and told him to buy tickets for tonight because I want to buy the house I visited today. Needless to say I won't be buying it! I feel it's worse because I saw what I could have had and it's all been ripped away

YobaOljazUwaque · 20/09/2019 23:22

I haven't checked my numbers yet as until I check them I can exist in a Schrödinger's cat situation where I am simultaneously about to revolutionise my life and also trudging on as normal. I am a bit annoyed that you have revealed that no one else won. Presumably this just means I might have got one of the everything-matching-except-one-number prizes which will still be reasonably adequate. I normally last about 3 weeks before I crack and check, but I guess I will get a ticket for Tuesday too to be on the safe side.

Outsomnia · 20/09/2019 23:26

If jackpot is not won on Tuesday, and the amount exceeds 190million, then it is capped at 190m, and the lower prizes are increased in proportion.

A friend told me this a while ago, but I never knew that.

So it will either be won on Tuesday, or it is capped, and going forward, those winning lower prizes will get more. Yay.

ginandbearit · 21/09/2019 00:04

I know we are dreaming planning demanding the full jackpot but wouldnt it be great if it went to a 190 individual million pound prizes once in a while..that woud do me nicely

HotChocolateLover · 21/09/2019 07:50

@Outsomnia What?!! That’s ridiculous! They shouldn’t be able to cap the prizes. I’ll grudgingly concede that really they should make the odds better so that more people have the chance of winning £1 million (after i’ve Won on Tuesday ) 😂

OP posts:
Kernowgal · 21/09/2019 08:10

I got a message saying I’d won... £4.40. Woohoo! 😒

HerculesTheBercules · 21/09/2019 08:32

I forgot to buy a ticket.

Sigh

Ribenaberriesgowoo82 · 21/09/2019 08:38

See, I knew it was your turn so I held off buying a ticket. Hmm. Need to remember to forget a ticket on Tuesday now too.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 21/09/2019 08:39

Me too, in fact I've never even won £10. They are doing it wrong.

ipswichwitch · 21/09/2019 08:44

I never win - I can’t even win a bloody raffle. I’ve decided they need to ban certain people from buying lottery tickets, such as rich people or those who say “oh it won’t change my life”, which begs the question, why bother buying a ticket in the first place? Surely that’s the point of a lottery win! And if you feel that way the only decent thing to do is give it all to me.

I know it won’t actually increase my chances of winning, but I’d feel less pissed off when those sorts of people do win.
