DSD lied about bullying

A few months ago DSD showed us some really horrible message requests she was getting from someone on instagram.
The account was private and had a random name and photo so we didn’t know who it was but they were personal and threatening things so assumed someone from her school and told them. The account was blocked and she didn’t receive any other messages so nothing else was done.

I was looking through who I was following this morning and realised I was following the same account, it has no posts but under the tagged ones there were two of dsd. So I'm pretty sure she changed the name of an old account and was sending these messages to herself.

Would you bring this up to either DP or DSD?

Yes, of course you must discuss this with your DP, confirm you are right in suspecting DSD sent these to herself and then decide what to do. It could be this was the only way she was able to say she is being bullied, it could be that she was attention seeking because she feels vulnerable, etc, but whatever it is this needs looking into.

Definitely bring it up to your dp. He must have been very worried about the bullying.

Tagged posts are not from the account itself but other accounts that have tagged. Doesn’t necessarily mean the account is hers.
