I have recently moved. This week had sever dental pain and only managed to get app. Today at dentist. They’ve now said I need to have the tooth removed and have to wait for them to refer me. I went back at close of business today and they still haven’t referred me yet. I am in back to back pain relief taking everything I can.
If I need surgery will this be costly to sort out privately? I’m desperate and broke due to moving but I am in severe pain. I would do anything right now to stop the pain.
If anyone knows anything more than me I’d be grateful! Or maybe how long I can expect to wait on nhs. I’m terrified I’ll have to wait a long time. I need to work but in so much pain I can’t and have had to pretty much stop eating as well, even temperatures of food js making me feel unwell.

Are you near dental hospital? It may be worth trying there.
Clove oil will help stop the pain as will Nurofen melters put between the gum and cheek/lip. Obs not at the same time

Thank you for your reply. I’ve never had problems before so will look up dental hospital. Will definitely look for clove oil tomorrow. It’s awful. I don’t know how I’m supposed to carry on like it and still have young dc to look after etc. I never take pain killers but have been taking them last few days.
Thank you again.

I hope you get it sorted quickly , clove oil taste horrid but it does the job. a cotton bud is the best way to apply it to the affected area.
I am fairly sure it wont interfere with any pain killers your taken ( no need to worry about double dosing )
If you are going to a dental hospital you must get there early , at least a hour before they open IMO .
Good luck
