Has anyone else watched this? Michael Moore film about Trump and other horrors on Netflix.

Bit scrappy and confusing in places but fuck he made his point with some impact and I’m properly bloody depressed now.

I have and really enjoyed it although you’re right that it left me feeling quite depressed for the world! The stuff about the water issue in Flint was absolutely shocking

The water thing was beyond appalling. And wtf was Obama doing with the drinking glass stunts?! What a smack in the face for the residents who were already dealing with the horrific fall out for them and their families to have the president treat them with such disdain. He was laughing. It wasn’t remotely funny...

Was it just me slightly confused by the timeline on that too, that it was still Obama as POTUS when the governor was staging his coup? It seemed at the start as though he was a Trump crony but Obama’s visit made me realise I’d been wrong. By the end it was clear it was another step along the way to Trump getting elected but it could have been clearer.

The other thing I’m still rolling over in my head is the contradiction between Trump not expecting to win and the idea of him, now, as a Hitler style dictator with long term evil ends. Was Moore suggesting now he’s in he’s become a rampant opportunist or did I miss something?
