RIP Bumbledog....

Our gorgeous naughty boy went over the 🌈 Bridge a short while ago.
Wilf and I are 💔..... No more pain now...

😔

We've been remembering when he went through the bay window after the post lady.....When he got upstairs next door and scared their daughter in the bath... How he sat on the plumber and stopped him working, when he brought an entire train carriage to a halt..... There are more... I will have to remember!!

Oh :(. So sad.

I lost him once for 15 minutes at the local Woodland Trust walk. He just vanished.... It felt like an hour.
My sister was picking sloes on the other side of the WT. I was calling and whistling and nothing.... Suddenly a man appeared with his daughter and he offered to go and find my dsis.
I turned around and carried on calling when suddenly the man did a proper Hollywood style rip-roaring wolf whistle I spun round and the man pointed. Out of a copse of trees came Bumble. When I got to him he was completely black, not a sign of brown. His back was studded with about 30 sharp thorns and when I folded his ears back they were scratched to ribbons. I think he had got stuck and couldn't get out.... I was pulling thorns out all the way home and the bath was filthy after he had been in there!!

We've had a lovely card from our neighbours saying they will miss hearing me calling for/yelling at Bumble..... Lots of friends have been popping in to see us. Wilf has been baking to distract himself and this afternoon we are collecting my friends ds from nursery which he is excited about.
Wilf goes home tomorrow and I'm back at work...

I’m so sorry it’s the hardest part of loving an animal. I remember your adventures with him.

My friend came earlier. Doorbell rang... No eruption of barking..... 😔 😔 😔 😔 😔 😔

Wilf is going home tomorrow and I am going back to work. Our friend came round with her miniature schnauzer this evening and Wilf enjoyed playing with her..... 💙

I've been able to tell the postmen they are safe to post things through the door again now!
Many years ago he put his paw through the window trying to get to our post lady... A.very scary experience for all!
