Glasses wearers, where is the best place to buy frames online?

Obviously I want somewhere that isn’t a scam, and some of the websites look so cheap that it’s very difficult to tell who is legit and who isn’t!

If you’ve bought from somewhere good, please do tell where! Thank you!

ive used selectspecs a few times and theyve been really good. I got some awesome frames in their £6 range

I like Select Specs too. They're great value for money (my last pair cost £10 including delivery and are the favourite glasses I own), they have loads of choice and the review section is useful.

I've used Glasses Direct in the past, who offer a free home trial which is pretty useful. But I personally prefer all the Select Specs glasses I've bought, as there's a lot more choice on there and the prices are much lower.

There's the risk with Select Specs that they won't suit you, but if you're buying a really cheap pair it doesn't matter too much. You can always try on glasses in a high street opticians to see what suits you, then look for a similar style with similar measurements online.

I’ve actually seen a pair I like on direct specs, the Savannah in purple. Anyone tried those? For £20 it’s an absolute bargain but seems sooooo cheap!

I like glassesdirect

Evilmorty · 18/09/2019 15:00

What do you guys do if you want to buy a particular pair of designer frames and have the lenses done separately? Has anyone done that?

I heat the arms up with a hairdryer then adjust away!
