I've joined Spotify and need a playlist keep me strong.
Stbxh was controlling and emotionally abusing and there was so much I wasn't allowed ( including my own music) and whilst I'm getting better each day by taking back a little control here and there I'm not there yet .

I was a huge Beyoncé fan until a few years ago but still listen to all her earlier albums, but the only song I can wake up to is

“Best thing I never had” - Beyoncé.

I’ve tried to change it but then sleeps through my alarm. It’s always the song I finish a run with. Kind of gives me extra oomph as I near the finish line. I’ve so gotten used to the song that when my ex ended up on my daughters bed for 2 nights (after an attempted suicide a month earlier and then OW leaving him that day and his family was all abroad) my alarm went off. Next thing I knew he was in my bedroom door asking why would I purposely play a song about karma, etc. When he is down and in that situation. It took me a sec to realise that he actually listen to the song and yep Karma got him that day.
