Mark Wright on Who Do You Think You Are?

DH didn’t want to watch this one because he’s a raging snob he didn’t think it would be interesting watching MW learn about his ancestry. I’ve never watched him on anything before but he’s really engaging. A little brash maybe but he’s clearly enthusiastic and fascinated by the whole experience. Loved his fencing!

I enjoyed his enthusiasm. His wife was on the last series. Her lack of geography knowledge was staggering!!

I was quite impressed with him!

Yeah I remember seeing a bit of him on Celebrities in the jungle or whatever it’s called and he was lovely.

Ahh he's alright. He was awful on TOWIE but that was nearly ten years ago.

I'm not a TOWIE or Mark Wright fan but I really enjoyed this programme. Family is obviously very important to the Wright family. Mark listened to the experts and took on board with amazing grace that his family's origins were far from what he expected.

I really enjoyed it. I haven't seen him on anything before but I wasn't expecting much (due to my own snobbery).

He was actually quick to understand what they were saying and he was so pleased to be able to go and tell his family. I wish they had shown him telling his granddad what he had found.

I really liked his episode. I liked how he seemed genuinely interested and how charming he was to the historians. Must admit for he time ever I had a bit of a MW fanny flutter.

On a totally different note, was one of the historians the medals expert on antiques roadshow?

PalindromicUser · 17/09/2019 21:33

I agree, he came across as much brighter than I was expecting. And yes, his wife’s geography left a lot to be desired Grin

Watching now on iplayer and loving it! I really liked Mark Wright on Strictly a few years back - not really seen him before that as never got in to towie. He seemed really nice and this is only confirming my thoughts (and he is easy on the eye too!! #shallow)

Crinkle77 · 17/09/2019 21:53

Mark Wright came across really well in I'm a celeb a few years ago. Same couldn't be said for his towie colleague, Kirk Norcross, the following year.
