Polpo to eat
Malmaison to stay although there are plenty of independent small hotels too and airbnb’s.

Not the old ship!

MyHotel is good and pretty central. Drakes is lovely.
Food for Friends and Terre a terre are both great vegetarian restaurants.
VIP Pizza is cheap, buzzy and tasty.
64 Degrees is trendy right now.
The Chilli Pickle for good Indian And is directly below MyHotel.
There's an amazing Thai in Kemptown by the Black Dove. I'll try and remember the name.

I have stayed in Brighton a few times over the years.

I always found Jury's Inn okay. There is one on the seafront now in addition to the one up b the station . (used to be the Thistle). The Hilton isn't that great.

I have stayed at the Best Western at Hove. Decent enough for the prices but a bit of a walk from Brighton. Nice to be away from the busy end though. Good breakfasts.

Room with a View is a little boutique hotel right on the seafront. Its lovely and we've stayed there several times when going to concerts.
Been to Terre a terre several times too, does great vegetarian/vegan food and we are not either but just enjoy nice food.

AirBnB all the way in Brighton! Lots of quirky flats in the Lanes/North Lanes, then you're close to great indy cafes for breakfast.
64 degrees is fantastic, and we enjoyed Murmr too.

Hilton Metropol on the front is pretty decent

We stayed at the Premier Inn. Right on the main street, loveiy huge and clean rooms and a brilliant breakfast. Couldnt fault it.

We stayed at the Queens Hotel last year, with a room overlooking the prom and pier. Used the (small) pool in the basement. Breakfast was fine. Would happily stay there again. Also got a discount for the underground Lanes car park.
64 degrees was excellent, would go every night if I had the money and a propensity to being skinny.
Chilli pickles is also amazing, as is the Coal shed if you like steak.
