I've got an upper g.i. endoscopy tomorrow and am absolutely bricking it. I've read loads of scary stories online (bad idea, I know but couldn't help myself) and now I'm convinced that I'll have an allergic reaction to the spray/choke on my own vomit/develop some life-threatening post procedure infection or (worse one if all) wet myself in fear.
Know I'm being a complete wuss but genuinely have never felt as scared about anything in my life- not even childbirth (which I've done twice). Is there anyone out there who can reassure me? Know I just need to grow a spine but would love someone out there to tell me it's going to be OK!
