Are any of you a ‘secret’ hippy, metalhead, Christian?

Or something else?

What I mean is that I don’t dress the stereotyped part but I guess the way I lead my life is quite hippyish. Vegan, extended breastfeeding (I plan to, he’s only 18m), use homemade cannabis edibles for PMT, etc but I dress in the ubiquitous jeans/converse Mum uniform and have no piercings and my hair is just long and uncoloured.

I have a friend who looks the part of a Boden pta Mum but is a massive metaller who would sell her husband to afford her yearly Download ticket.

So are you a secret someone under your everyday clothes?

I'm not a 'secret' anything but I am a typical Brightony mum (extended breastfeeding, cosleeping etc) who is liberal politically.
But I'm a practising Catholic which I guess is unexpected
Then I tell people I'm Italian and it makes sense again!

I feel a bit sorry for 'English' younger religious people sometimes, if you are Italian/Spanish/Irish etc no one thinks you are odd.

I'm sat here alternating between MN and Boden on my phone whilst listening to Marilyn Manson. I once said to someone that Whiskey in the Jar by Metallica was my kneading song (perfect length for a good knead) and they were shocked and said they thought I would be more into Lionel Richie. You'd never think I was a metal head to look at me - fat, frumpy, middle aged, more Yours than Boden but one can wish.

I apparently give off massive fundamentalist Christian vibes. I love Metal, I'm a third generation feminist, I swear like a fucking trooper and I drink like a school of fishes.

I also enjoy ballet, opera, art galleries and a good flat white. And am apparently the world's most unreasonable old fashioned mother.

camomilla I know what you mean. I spent a few months in an Italian city and loved seeing glam young Italian mums nipping into church for a breastfeed and a pray. I often saw the same ones enjoying a coffe and a chat across the street. It’s all part of normal life.

whatsnext that’s exactly what I was trying to describe. You sound great!

Not too secret once you get to know me better, but I'm a witch who wears hot pink heels and generally in-your-face colours.
