Would you eat these today? (Note use by date...)

Would you eat these?
OP posts:

Nope, isn’t the moisture bit the bacteria multiplying?

TheGirlWhoLived · 16/09/2019 17:01

I would eat them if they weren’t in a bag and looked/smelt fine but I watched a programme where they said bagged salad was a breeding den for things like e-coli and clostridium difficile (sp!?) because of the heat and confinement

Matleavemam · 16/09/2019 17:02

Is it? Bollocks.. no veg with dinner tonight then Grin

OP posts:
Knitclubchatter · 16/09/2019 17:02

Looks like quinoa in there with the beans....hell no.

TheGirlWhoLived · 16/09/2019 17:04

Grin I’ve never looked at a bagged salad in the same way. Apparently if the bag is bloated/wet/condensation inside then they’ve already started breeding

PrincessSarene · 16/09/2019 17:09

Surely you’d be cooking them before eating? (Unlike with bagged salad.) I wouldn’t dismiss them just because they’ve gone past the date, but would check their condition before deciding whether or not to eat them.

confusedandemployed · 16/09/2019 17:11

I am VERY slapdash when it comes to sell by dates, but I'd be reluctant to eat them with all that moisture.

Soola · 16/09/2019 17:12

No for two reasons.

  1. They look manky.
  1. I don’t like runner beans
SilverySurfer · 16/09/2019 17:39

I love runner beans but wouldn't eat those, sorry OP. I usually buy whole runner beans and slice them myself, I think they last longer than the pre-sliced.

MissTicPizza · 16/09/2019 17:41

No, because they are ready prepared and I also saw the programme about the bacteria in the bag. I say this as someone who just quite happily ate mozzarella that was three weeks out of date!

dementedpixie · 16/09/2019 17:42

Open and see what they are like inside

Singlenotsingle · 16/09/2019 18:50

The look soggy and a funny yellowy colour. Not appetising at all.
