I've got an interview with an IT test for an admin post with the NHS next week. I have been temping in this role for about a month so although I'm starting to get to grips with some of it there is still an awful lot I need to learn. But I've been coping and managing to complete all tasks given to me despite not having the relevant experience i.e using Excel, taking minutes and audio typing & I've received positive feedback.
I'd really really like to get this job but to be honest I've only had 2 interviews in the past 10 years & I didn't get either of them! My mind seems to go blank and I end up waffling, and the thought of the practical tests have sent me into a tailspin. I've been told that quite simply whoever scores the highest with the interview & test will get the job and I just feel that I'm going to blow it!!
I've done my research, memorised the job description, made loads of notes, written down examples of situations, & I even got my daughter to give me a mock interview which was fine at home...but I can't seem to 'sell' myself at the actual interview & I'm in such a tizz I feel like withdrawing!!!! Any tips on how to sort myself out would be greatly appreciated.
