Hi
Just wondering if anybody has visited Krakow?
Im wondering if you would recommend it for a couple who just want to relax whilst taking some walks out in the city and to see some different stuff? Not particularly bothered about nightlife.
Also I'm told it's very cheap when the - i know that this is very difficult to say as one persons cheap could be anothers expensive but did you find it cheap when there?

I went a couple of years ago for 5 days and loved it.

There's plenty to do and see. There's the Salt Mines, Auschwitz, Schindlers Factory, The Jewish Quarter and Ghetto's, Castle, Museums.

It's relatively cheap to travel and eat/drink and I would 100% recommend it for a city break.

If you want to book tours and stuff you can usually do it through your hotel (if you stay in a hotel). We never really went out at night, just stayed in the hotel bar with friends.

:)

It's a fabulous city and pretty cheap. We were there in the summer and a meal for two with plenty of drinks and three courses was about £35 average.
Sitting in the square watching the world go by is a lovely way to pass the evening and lots to see and visit in the day. The brutal history of city is also interesting.

We've been to Krakow a couple of times and love it there. So much to see and do and all within a relatively walkable distance. One word of caution; the air quality in Krakow can be very poor, due to the topography of the city. Geographically, Krakow sits in a valley, which tends to concentrate pollutants, and experiences a low number of windy days, which means pollutants are not readily dispersed. So if either of you suffer asthma or other breathing conditions you may want to investigate this further before booking a trip.
