Police recruitment

Hi All, anyone here went through or knows someone who went through police rectrutment process to become a Police Officer? I am slightly worried about the vetting part in particular my financial situation. I have never had CCJ's, been bankrupt or anything like that. All my debt is managed, there are no late repayments and my credit score is excellent (better than national avarage) however my debt is substantial. Would appriciate any comments from someone who's been through or going through vetting

They are only interested in unmanageable debt as you could be open to bribery or commit fraud if you cannot cope.

Is this from expirience? So you think i will be fine? Even though me debt is considered high?

Yes, retired from police. Was a police trainer for a while and this subject was often discussed.
Many people have a large debt ( mortgage for example) but so long as you meet repayments within the timescale it’s ok.
You are likely to be fine.
