Is this a cold sore!?

Late last night I noticed my lip was a bit red on one side. No pain or tingling. I’ve never had a cold sore ever. Neither has my partner. We have been together for 5 years.

I woke up and it looks like a tiny pimple or whitehead. Still no pain or tingling. It doesn’t look anything like a cold sore but I read online that people don’t get spots on their lips!?

Looks like a tiny wee pimple. I’ve has these close to my lips and I think even on my lip. Don’t pop - it will hurt!

It's hard to tell from your pic, however if you're worried then get some cold sore cream to apply. Don't bother with zovirax, get the supermarket or chemist own brand.
Avoid kissing and oral sex, make sure that you wash your hands after applying the cream and avoid touching it otherwise.
It may be an innocent spot, I have sometimes had what I think is a cold sore developing but it's turned into nothing.

Tea tree oil might help - not the pure stuff! It will taste awful but it might help (was recommended by a doctor).

Update: it was a pimple. Gone now. How strange!

These must be going round. I wish mine would go!
