I am visiting for a few days and need to keep two teams entertained.

I have found flip out and a climbing wall.

Is the aquarium a good one ?

All ideas would be gratefully received.

How old.

Dd likes to go shopping (Selfridges has a Rihanna make up counter).

Ds loves the big music shops and the football museum.

13 and 15
Both boys and neither are too bothered about football sadly

There's a football museum if that would interest them?

Also the Escape Game .. over tens can play if supervised by an adult I believe. My sons enjoyed that.

I didn't know there was an aquarium I must admit!

Junk yard golf, football museum, crystal maze

highlandcoo · 15/09/2019 20:12

Cross post re the football!

Also the Imperial War Museum at Salford .. would interest some teens and not others I guess.

Elodie2019 · 15/09/2019 20:12

Football museum, MOSI or Chill factore.

Comefromaway · 15/09/2019 20:12

Ds has been to somewhere called Kick-air with school. It sounds a bit like Flip Out.

highlandcoo · 15/09/2019 20:14

Oh, how about Chill Factor at the Trafford Centre for a beginner's ski lesson. And there's that skydiving thing just beside it where you're suspended on a jet of air.
There's Dinosaur golf nearby too which might feel a bit childish but good fun.

Comefromaway · 15/09/2019 20:15

There is also a cinema complex at the Trafford Centre.

Ohflippineck · 15/09/2019 20:17

IWM Manchester is fantastic.

Elodie2019 · 15/09/2019 20:17

iFly Indoor Skydiving

The Sea Life aquarium is notoriously bad. Done in 30 minutes.
Afflecks Palace on Oldham Street is 3 floors of independent clothes stores, tattoo shops, music, random shops and cafes. A great place to mooch for a couple of hours.
Trafford Centre is a huge shoppingmall with cinema and crazy golf.
Junkyard golf.
MUFC AND MCFC stadium tours.
Canal tours and walking tours - there are music, history, ghosts one etc
Whitworth Art Gallery

BBC do a good tour of their studios - takes a couple of hours and isn’t too expensive. Coronation St have also started theirs again.

The aquarium doesn’t take very long and while my little ones love it, I’m not sure teens would unless they are really into fish. The Lego place upstairs maybe better?

Thank you this all sounds great.

The escape game in particular sounds like a match.

Turn them loose in the Arndale and or Primark. Afflecks Palace as PP says. Trip on a tram. The cat cafe.

WalkofShame · 15/09/2019 20:37

The imperial war museum is incredible. Probably not everyone's cup of tea but such a powerful experience.

Howlongtillbedtime · 15/09/2019 20:49

Ghost tour also sounds promising!
