Where to store a bike

We live in a 2 bed house with no garden, no garage, no loft and no under stairs cupboard. My 9 yr old would love a bike but obviously we're a bit stuck on where to keep it. The only idea so far is to get a bike rack for mine or DH's car and keep it on there. Is that remotely doable? Any other great ideas?

Could you suspend it from a hallway ceiling on a rack?

Not an immediate fix, but you could talk to your council and ask them to install a bike hanger in the street, I suspect it varies by area, but mine do it if there is enough demand.

Do you have any outside space?

Fin I think our hallway is probably too small but thank you!
Peony our little group of houses is behind a security gate ( sounds way grander than it is) so I have feeling the council wouldn't do this. We have to provide our own salt container and salt in the winter. Again, thank you!

Pinterest is great for ideas about indoor bike storage where there's little space. Do you have stairs in your house? A pulley using the height of the stairs might be an option.

I think it's easiest to buy a system that enables you to hang it from a wall. Quite cheap and easy to install; a good bike rack for your car is going to cost you more if that's a factor.

Something like:

Great ideas, thank you! I like the wooden one particularly.
