Tips on fighting sleep walking

Just that really, I could use some help.
I've always had sleep issues, I have insomnia, nightmares most nights, and night terrors about once every two years.
I talk in my sleep, a lot, and when Iwas younger I would sleep walk.
It's happened a few times over the years, but far enough apart to think it wasn't an issue.

Last night it happened again, but this time I accidentally hurt myself, and today I keep finding splinters (infected too, ewww) and small cuts and grazes.
I need to be able to sleep, but now I dont trust myself, and that's going to make it even harder to sleep.

I could really use suggestions, especially if you've been through it and made it stop.
Thank you!

Should also say, the house doors are locked at night, so I dont think I'd leave the house, but apparently I can still get hurt😪

OP. Please go and see your Doctor. They will be the best to advise.

My son and I sleep talk and I can even have conversations with my son when he starts.

You don't want to injure yourself.

Thank you for replying, I appreciate it!
I have been to my doctor, who tried me on seriquill (sp?) Which stopped me having the night terrors, but made it so I was incredibly groggy when I was awake, and badly effected my coordination.
When I told him, he took me off it, but then he said he didnt have anything else to offer, and I should try therapy. Ironic as I have been on a wait list for help for ages, long before he suggested it.
Hopefully it will help.
