Do effervescent vitamin tablets really work?

Or are they a bit of a fad?

Who knows but i have a Berocca every morning because alcohol destroys B vitamins in the body, espcially B1. I drink a fair bit of wine and so replace my B vits this way. You wee out anything not needed, hence the flouro-wee.

BTW, the Waitrose version are very clearly made in the same factory, have exactly the same percentage of each vitamin in the same order etc. But are a fraction of the price and taste exactly the same.

We give our teen one every morning. I'm sure it's generally just creating expensive wee but he's very active and never eats enough fruit or veg. We get Tesco or Waitress own brands and always on offer.

I love them. They taste good and they make me take them where I might not otherwise. I use them as an insurance policy.

Thanks, I saw some in Aldi actually that were pennies and seemed to be identical to the Berocca. That's interesting about the B vitamins and wine, never knew that!

I take one everyday and think they keep me going pretty well!

frozenonions · 14/09/2019 12:25

I take a Berocca every morning and I love it. No idea if it's actually doing me any good but I always feel pretty well energised and very, very rarely pick up any bugs etc.

I've taken @BigusBumus advice and had one for my hangover. Feel much better already! Grin

I am glad the thread has helped @iklboo!

I desperately need some help getting my energy levels up so that's why I think I need extra vitamins!

I drink one every day, an Aldi Vit C and Zinc. I’m not sure of how effective they are but I don’t have a spleen so need a bit of extra help with my immune system.

I think they’re around 89p for 20 tablets and I think they taste nicer than other supermarket ones that I’ve tried.

I have the wilko one.
I'll try aldi. Tesco have been flat
